Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 1/2 kgs fish (any fish)


  • 6 nos shallots(sliced)


  • 8-10 nos garlic


  • 2-3 nos green chili (as per taste)


  • 2 nos drum stick


  • 2 tsp kashmiri chili powder


  • 5-6 tsp coriander powder


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 2-3 nos cambodge(in lukewarm water)


  • 1 tsp mustard seeds(as needed)


  • 1 tbsp fenugreek(as needed)


  • 1 sprig curry leaves(as needed)


  • 1/2 cups water(as needed)


  • 2 tbsp oil (as needed)


  • 1 tsp salt some to taste

Directions

  • Heat oil in a clay pot,splutter some mustard seeds and fenugreek.
  • Add sliced shallots,ginger garlic paste and slit green chilli,curry leaves -saute till the raw smell is gone.
  • Meanwhile, mix chilli powder,coriander powder and turmeric powder together using water.
  • Once the sliced shallots ,ginger -garlic and chilli is done, add on to it the prepared paste and saute till the raw smell is gone and oil appears.
  • Mix the combodge(in luke warm water) to the above combo.
  • Add required amount of water and bring it to boil.
  • Lower the flame and add the cleaned fish and drum sticks.
  • Closed the lid and cook till the fish is done.
  • Garnish with curry leaves.
